Manila, Philippines — Nissan Philippines will showcase exciting new models at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). This is the first time in two years since the motoring event was held in person.

Nissan Philippines is taking this opportunity to further strengthen its electrification strategy and will be showcasing the next generation e-POWER technology at the event. The next generation e-POWER is a self-charging electric motor driven system that gives customers a smooth, quiet, exciting, and fun drive. The e-POWER is a 100% electric motor driven system without the need for external plug-in charging. The gasoline engine runs at an optimal speed to charge the battery when needed which makes the system fuel efficient. Nissan Philippines is showcasing the technology as part of its commitment to provide an accessible electrified experience for more Filipinos and to expand its electrification strategy in the country.

The Nissan LEAF and its vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability will also be displayed. The LEAF's V2L capability allows the use of energy from the LEAF's battery as an alternative source to power appliances or devices. This feature was demonstrated when Cebu City Councilor Nestor Archival used his LEAF as a mobile phone charging station for affected communities hit by Typhoon Odette last December and showcased during Nissan's launch of its Blue Switch initiative in January of this year. With the Blue Switch initiative, the company builds its long-term vision of becoming a sustainable company that drives towards a safer, smarter, and a more inclusive future taking part of the next phase of Nissan's electrification plans. Through this initiative, Nissan aims to partner with both private and government sectors to help address social concerns through electric vehicles like the Nissan LEAF.

Nissan will also be displaying the limited-edition Calibre-X, a new 4x2 variant of the Navara, made perfect for versatile city driving. The Calibre-X boasts a bolder exterior design and is packed with Nissan Intelligent Mobility features providing customers with advanced safety and convenience.

Nissan Philippines will also be exhibiting the Nissan Intelligent Mobility features as it holds the 5th leg of its NIM Tour during the motoring event. Customers will also be given the opportunity to test drive the a wide range of vehicles during the event for a first hand Nissan driving experience.

The MIAS will be held on April 7-10 at the World Trade Center from 10am-9pm.
