YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Formula E Team is ready to take on the legendary Circuit de Monaco as the series stops off at the principality for Round 8 of Season 10, with Oliver Rowland and Sacha Fenestraz both looking for further success at the venue.
British driver Rowland has been a regular to the Monaco podium in his racing career, having enjoyed success there in GP2 Series, Formula 2 and Formula E, including a pole and second-placed finish with the team in 2019. Having scored four podiums in the last five races of Season 10, Rowland will be keen to keep up the strong form to remain in the championship fight.
On the other side of the garage, Sacha Fenestraz will be encouraged by a return to the points last time out at Misano, where he took top-10 finishes in both races of the double-header, including an impressive drive to fifth in Round 7. The Franco-Argentine also has good memories of Monaco. Having won there in Formula Renault Eurocup, Fenestraz was immediately on the pace on his maiden visit to the circuit in Formula E last year, setting the fastest lap on the Grand Prix layout in the series' history in qualifying and finishing the E-Prix in fourth.
The 3.337-kilometre circuit features some of the best-known sections in world motorsport, including the Grand Hotel Hairpin, the high-speed swimming pool chicane and the tricky La Rascasse at the end of the lap. Well-known for being a difficult track to overtake on, Formula E has disproved this theory in recent seasons, although qualifying will still be an important session.
Ahead of the race, Nissan Formula E Team has released the next edition of its 'Sounds of Season 10' playlist – a music track that perfectly captures the culture and atmosphere of glamorous Monte Carlo. This comes as part of a special collaboration with German contemporary composer Mathias Rehfeldt for the 2023/24 season, infusing the essence of Formula E into a series of vibrant soundtracks titled "Electric Legacy". The series reflects the diverse global nature of the Formula E calendar and will be released in localized adaptations for key race cities – all carefully crafted to reflect the cultural nuances, fan attitudes, and spirit of each unique city. The entire event takes place on Saturday 27 April, with the race set to being at 15:00 CEST (UTC +2).

Monaco is one of my favorite places to compete, I've had success there throughout my career and it's a special track to drive on. The race will be tricky in terms of energy management, Formula E has proven that overtaking is possible around Monaco, so we'll have to position ourselves well ahead of the final laps to get the best result possible."
Sacha Fenestraz, driver, Nissan Formula E Team: "The double-header in Misano has definitely given me some confidence, along with the points. There are still factors we need to improve on, but our target is to keep progressing step-by-step until we are consistently fighting at the front. I've learned a lot this season, Oli has helped with his experience in terms of how to manage the race, which has been great for me. Monaco last year was one of the highlights of my career, we performed really well and I'm hoping for more of the same this weekend, with a strong qualifying and battling in the lead pack."

About Nissan in Formula E
Nissan made its all-electric racing debut in Season 5 (2018/19) of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, becoming the first and only Japanese manufacturer to enter the series.
